That’s Cove on top and Greyrock under the bench. From their position and body language, you can probably tell that Cove is confident and outgoing, while Greyrock is more shy.
But, Cove has a good technique for socializing Greyrock.
Beautiful house panther Jeekers is resting up.
Recently we won a generous selection of Valerian stuffed toys by entering a contest held by the charming and stunning kitty blogger, Cathy Keisha. They were made by the Bavarian Cat Toy company.
What’s in valerian, you might ask?
Wikipedia‘s answer: “Actinidine is a pyridine derivative found in the essential oil of valerian root and silver vine. Actinidine is a cat attractant, with effects like those of nepetalactone, the active compound found in catnip.”
Or, if you ask Miss Piggy at PAWS, it’s pure stinky bliss.
When there is so much playing that needs to be accomplished, it’s no wonder that posing for pictures falls to the bottom of a kitten’s to-do list.
Kitties, I used a random number generator to choose the winner of PetSafe’s Cheese Toy. There were many nice comments, I wish I had toys for everyone.
Coincidentally, I actually know the winner and I am so pleased for her.
Usually there is a card hanging on each cage that describes the cat within, but in this case, there was only the word “Gravy”.
We were asked if we’d like to try out PetSafe’s Cheese Cat Toy. When they found out we wanted to bring the toys to PAWS, they generously sent us two for the shelter cats and one for our Mickey Mouser and Rufus the Red! Plus they offered to sponsor a give away.
As you can see, my cats were fascinated. Now, on to PAWS…
Gentle Philip really really really wants to play.
