This puppy had just come back from a long walk and was happy to cuddle in her blankets.
Meanwhile, I was cleaning the kitten room and making new friends.
But just when you think you’re all done cleaning…it’s time to start again!
Cats at PAWS
April Fools’!
I bet you thought Elfie and Emmie were going to be cats…
Yesterday all the volunteers were mesmerized by the sight of so much cute.
Elfie has the floppy ears, that’s Emmie on the right.
They are 10 to 12 week old German Shepherd puppies available at PAWS.
Here are sisters Ethel and Lucy chilling out at the shelter. They had a great time in the park at the PAWS 50th anniversary festival last weekend.
Artist Shelley Lowell was there painting a picture of Lucy. You can see more of her work by clicking HERE.
Shelley has generously donated this lovely portrait. It will go home with the lucky person who adopts Lucy. I hope Ethel goes with them too!
Carin is a three year old Maltese Poodle mix. Although she only has three legs, Carin gets around quite nicely.
A volunteer who is a pet groomer gave up her Sunday morning to make sure this little dog has the best chance for adoption.
First she was trimmed and shaved.
Then she got a bath. This little dog is so good natured and patient!
Here is Carin after her makeover.
I’m thankful for the company of so many kind, hard working, caring people at the shelter each week!
It was a gorgeous day for Bark in the Park. There was music, and food, and lots of vendors, and dogs everywhere!
Many people who adopted dogs at PAWS brought them to the event for happy reunions with the shelter staff and volunteers.
Our new cat booth had lots of visitors.
Whew! I could have used a nap too.
Thank you to everyone who helped with my fundraising efforts!
The dogs love playtime in the shelter‘s fenced yard- except on rainy days.
Meanwhile, the cats were happy to be dry and snug in their beds. Here is Maine Coon mix Phoebe and her constant companion Zoe-Bob.
