Handsome and friendly, two year old Max came to PAWS with his sister Audrey.
Their family had medical problems and could no longer care for them.
Here’s a lovely opportunity: adopt a full grown, but still young, healthy boy who loves attention and gets along fine with other cats.
Come meet Max at PAWS.
This is an update on the “Getting to Know You” process at our house.
It’s been five weeks since we started introducing orange polydactyl Ernie to Rufus the Red and Mickey Mouser.
Look how exhausted Rufus is! We have spent a lot of time running Ernie all over the house to wear off some of his kitten energy, but he is the energizer bunny. Rufus and I tire out way before Ernie does!
Rick has added another wall hammock and we have a new tall cat tree for time outs.
Mickey Mouser’s body language sums up his attitude (the cactus is also symbolic).
Fortunately when good treats are involved, everybody gets along.
We highly recommend Inaba Churu treats! We aren’t paid spokes cats, just fans of the product.
Welcoming a new family member has its up and downs, fortunately we see progress every day.
Well it sure looks like progress at your place and we can relate to that young cat energy. Oh Max, I thought I was looking in a mirror you handsome dude!
Max and Audrey are such nice kitties! We met them today, and totally love them both. Such great photos, Maggie, and Brian is right … I totally thought “that cat sure looks like Brian,” when I met him! š
So glad the crew at your house is getting along so well!
I am glad there is progress. Apart from Mickey Mouser’s “If I turn my back you are not there” pose they look to be getting on well. My first thought was also how much Max looks like Brian.
Wow, a younger version of Bear, how charming and cool he looks. There is often nothing like a good meal to get folks and cats around the table… of course when the meal is over and the plates need to be cleaned, then all hell breaks loose, MOL

Max is so handsome! I hope he and his sister Audrey will find forever home soon!
Iām glad to hear update about Ernie and that progress is made. Photos of them enjoying treat together are so cute š
Max is a handsome boy. I hope he can stay with his sister and get a forever home together. I am glad your kitties get along for treats š XO
Aw, such good looking kitties. I hope they find a forever home together. It would be wonderful to keep them together.
Have a purrfect day. ā„
We just saw Max and Audrey over on Kevin’s blog. We sure hope they find a new home together. All your photos of the kitties are so cute today. It is always hard adjusting to a new family member, and it definitely can be exhausting. Just wanted to thank you for your kind words if sympathy for our Only.
I used Squeeze-ups (same concept, different brand) to try to encourage Bear and Ellie to coexist peacefully. I think it worked though sometimes one would realize how close he was to the other and panic. Food is the great equalizer š
Glad the treats bring them all together! I find the same happens in our house. And Max is so handsome!
