A Hammock for Letterman

eSewing

Rufus the Red (who must be included in every activity around our house) helped me sew a new cage hammock. It only took a bit longer with his input.

Before bringing it to PAWS, I rubbed some fresh catnip from our garden on the fabric. Letterman loved it. In fact, I had a hard time getting it away from him.

Once the hammock was installed using shower curtain rings, Letterman’s new loft space was ready.

I think he’s smiling!
Letterman is a playful, outgoing three year old.
We want all the cats at PAWS to be comfortable and loved while they wait for their special someone to come and take them home.

  1. Awww Rufus is such a good helper!
I definitely see smile on Letterman’s face! What a lucky kitty to have such a beautiful handmade nip-scented hammock 🙂

  2. Love it! Waiting till Oliver (the grandson, named after Oliver the cat) gets a bit older before we bring in a new kitty. He and Lucy are starting to reach a truce – at least she’ll consent to being in the room with him and sometimes lets him pet her. She misses her old frient Mitzi.

  3. Looks like a BIG smile to me!
That is one handsome happy boy in his private bungalow!

  4. So much fun! Are you running a cat sweat shop at your house? Rufus’ paws look like they are getting worked to the bone!

  5. That’s exactly what it looks like whenever Mom tries to sew. Keeping paws and noses away from the needle is often a huge challenge. That hammock is terrific. We do believe you made Letterman smile. Sending him purrs and prayers for a quick adoption. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  6. I LOVE the hammick! Rufus makes the best stuffs for his furriends there at PAWS. Oh. I know your mommy helped, Rufus. That was kind of her to lend you a paw.
