As Jackson Galaxy says, βCats need vertical space; it enables them to survey their world from a safe perspective.β And when the floors and cat trees at PAWS got too crowded, it made perfect sense to expand up the walls.
Here’s Mimi getting ready for take off…
Mimi airborne!
We hope to continue the catification at PAWS this year. Cat Room #5 is mostly finished, but there are many more rooms that need help!
There’s a short youtube video of the room – CLICK HERE!
What a fabulous space! Now if only those birds were real. π
lovely and very cheerful. I know the cats will love it but I bet the people who visit will as well and probably pick up a few pointers
That looks like so much fun for them!!!
This is pawsome! Mimi jumping from the shelf to hammock is amazing! Loved the video, too! I think kitties get more active and playful in such space and that increases chance to catch potential adopters’ eyes π
What a great shelter, lots of safe places for kitties to rest while waiting for their forever homes.
Love these! Were they purchased ready-made or created? Do you know roughly how deep they are?
These shelves, nesting boxes and wall hammocks were all made by my talented husband Rick. The shelves are 10″ deep, other things are larger.
OMC YOUR WALLS ARE GORGEOUS!!!! So cheerful! LOVE the colors and I can tell the cats do too!
We love the catification that’s been done in Room 5. So do the kitties who live there! π
That’s fantastic! Loved seeing the video too!
Wow, that’s a really pawesome room! I’m wondering if the shelter I volunteer for would be interested in doing more catification. It sure makes the kitties’ lives happier while they are staying in the shelter. π I LOVE the tree you have painted on the wall, too!
Wow! We love those shelves and is that a hammock? MOM! We NEED these things!
