The Catbird Seat

That phrase popped into my head when I took this picture. “Sitting in the catbird seat” means “sitting pretty”. Also “When used in the sense of a lookout, it can be considered a euphemism for the nautical term “crow’s nest” that is used on sailing ships.”

Noname is certainly sitting pretty. She’s on the lookout from the new wall hammock built and installed by my husband, Rick.

There are two new shelves and two wall “nesting boxes” in Cat Room #5 too!
Catification is moving along nicely at PAWS. Thank you, Rick!

  1. You seem to have such a lovely shelter, so well decorated, with the cats in mind, of course. Nothing at all like the windowless rooms stuffed with tiny cages in our city’s shelter. I haven’t been into our shelter in years because it makes me cry, makes me sick to my stomach. But Noname (who really needs a better name!) is lucky in that regard. Paws crossed she finds a wonderful home sooner than later.

  2. Noname is such a great kitty. She’s so inquisitive, it comes as no surprise that she was the first to check out the new hammock. 🙂

Thank you, Rick and Maggie, for all you do to make the shelter a true Habitat for Cats.

  3. Awww Noname is sitting super pretty! With tree image on the wall, it looks like she is sitting on the tree 🙂 What a beautiful setting and wonderful hammock! Your husband Rick is very talented. Kitties at PAWS are really lucky to have such great living environment!

  4. What a BEAUTIFUL cat room!!! I bet the kitties AND the humans love it!!! It’s do nice to see bright and cheery spaces in a shelter with kitty-friendly climbing shelves!
